The window, and why it closes

Promotions are attached to an account state, not to a string. When you register, the platform records which promotion your account was created under; when you deposit, it settles the balance against whatever promotion was already recorded. It is not a bug and it is not the code expiring — it is the promotion having already been resolved for that account. The four steps

1. Open the platform in the same tab from a link that carries the code. The parameter is lost by switching tabs, by signing in through an external profile, by pressing back, and by extensions that strip tracking parameters — so treat the auto-filled field as a convenience, never a guarantee.
2. Read the code field before confirming. Compare it character by character, and delete a trailing space if you pasted. Autocorrect on mobile keyboards is a frequent culprit, turning a hyphen into an en dash or capitalising the first letter.

Pending, credited, or missing

Three states look similar in a hurry and mean completely different things. Credited means the reward is on the balance and usable. Missing means no promotion was ever attached to the account, and no amount of waiting will change it. Distinguishing them takes under a minute and determines whether contacting support makes any sense.
